This medication is used for the treatment of initial and recurrent genital herpes and cold sores caused by the herpes simplex virus.

How to use

Adult use

This medication should be applied to the affected area 5 times a day at approximately 4-hour intervals. Treatment should continue for 5 days, and if not treated after 5 days, it can be used for another 5 days.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to any of its ingredients or have a history of allergy. Additionally, it is safe not to administer it to breastfeeding women and children. Caution should be exercised in immunocompromised patients, such as those with AIDS or who have undergone bone marrow transplantation. If there are ulcers in the genital area when using this medication, pain or discomfort may be felt. Various skin reactions such as temporary burning, mild pain, dermatitis, rashes, and itching may occur, so care is needed. The skin may become red, dry, and peel. It is advisable to start treatment as soon as symptoms first appear and strictly follow the prescribed dosage and administration. It is preferable not to use it when there are no symptoms.
