Adult eye dose

Instill (apply) 3 times daily. Adjust the dosage appropriately according to symptoms.

This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to quinolone antibiotics. Rarely, shock symptoms such as nausea, cold extremities, and difficulty breathing may occur when using this medication, so if these symptoms arise, use should be discontinued immediately and appropriate treatment should be sought. Also, hypersensitivity reactions such as cardiovascular collapse, loss of consciousness, vascular edema, airway obstruction, difficulty breathing, rash, and hives may occur; therefore, if any of these symptoms appear, administration should be stopped immediately. When used in the eye, temporary burning or sensation of irritation and discomfort may occur, and rarely, serious side effects such as keratitis, facial swelling, blurred vision, and dizziness may occur, so if these symptoms appear, use should be stopped. Auditory disturbances or symptoms of irritation may occasionally occur; thus, caution is needed. To prevent the emergence of resistant bacteria, this medication should only be used for the minimum duration after confirming sensitivity, and long-term use should be avoided as the risk of other infections such as fungal infections increases with prolonged use. Particularly during treatment for trachoma, the standard duration of use is 8 weeks, and caution is advised for use beyond that. During treatment, wearing soft contact lenses should be avoided. For women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, the safety of this medication has not been established, so it should only be administered when the benefits outweigh the risks. If breastfeeding, either breastfeeding should be discontinued or the medication should be stopped. It is recommended not to use this medication in infants under 1 year of age as safety and efficacy have not been established. This medication is for ophthalmic use only, and care should be taken not to let the tip of the container touch the eye during instillation. To prevent contamination, it is advisable not to share this medication with others. When storing, keep it out of reach of children, avoiding direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place. Additionally, to maintain quality, do not transfer to another container.
