Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. First, patients who have allergies to any of the ingredients or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions should not take it. Additionally, it should not be administered to patients in whom promoting gastric motility is dangerous due to gastrointestinal problems such as gastrointestinal bleeding, bowel obstruction, or perforation. Patients with prolactin-secreting tumors or those taking strong CYP3A4 enzyme inhibitors or medications that prolong the QTc interval should also avoid this medication. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant and patients with moderate to severe liver function impairment should not take this medication. Patients with cardiac conduction abnormalities or electrolyte imbalances, as well as those with heart failure, are also prohibited from using this medication. This medication should be used with caution in children, patients with kidney or mild liver impairment, the elderly, and those with heart disease. Those allergic to caramel components should also exercise caution. Possible side effects during use may include dyspepsia, dry mouth, drowsiness, headache, diarrhea, skin rash, and increased milk secretion. Particularly at high doses or during long-term use, breast-related abnormal symptoms, depression, and irregular menstruation may occur. This medication is primarily metabolized in the liver, so patients with liver damage should use it cautiously, and those with severely impaired kidney function should reduce the frequency and dose of administration. Patients with a history of breast cancer should also use caution due to the increased secretion of prolactin. Drowsiness or dizziness may occur after taking this medication, so driving or operating machinery should be done with care. This medication has many drug interactions, and the risk of side effects may increase when combined with certain drugs, so it is essential to consult with a physician or pharmacist. It is particularly safe not to combine it with drugs that affect the heart or CYP3A4 inhibitors. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid this medication, as side effects may occur in infants during breastfeeding, and careful judgment is required. In case of overdose, central nervous system symptoms and cardiac abnormalities may occur, so it is crucial to visit a medical institution immediately. There are no specific antidotes, so medical care is necessary. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in its original container to prevent misuse. Additionally, care should be taken as discoloration may occur when dispensing it with other medications. Finally, since this medication has risks associated with cardiac conduction abnormalities, especially the elderly or those with heart disease should consult with a specialist before taking it.
