This medication is effective in treating degenerative joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis. It is also used to relieve fever and pain caused by colds, back pain, dysmenorrhea, and post-surgical pain. Additionally, it aids in the management of various pains such as ankylosing spondylitis, headache, toothache, muscle pain, and neuralgia. It is effective not only for acute gout but also for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis, strains, or bruises such as soft tissue damage. It may also be used for extra-articular rheumatic diseases such as tendinitis, tenosynovitis, and bursitis. This medication is widely used to improve various pains and inflammatory diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, extra-articular rheumatic diseases, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis: Administer 200-600mg per dose orally, 3-4 times daily. Maximum daily dose can be up to 3200mg. For mild to moderate pain, and colds: Administer 200-400mg per dose orally, 3-4 times daily. Adjust the dosage according to age and symptoms.

Child dose

This medication may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in persons who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol per day; therefore, it is necessary to consult with a doctor or pharmacist. People with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors should be cautious, as long-term use of this medication may result in serious cardiovascular problems such as myocardial infarction or stroke. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, so elderly patients or those taking the drug for extended periods must be especially careful. Individuals with gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, severe blood disorders, liver impairment, reduced kidney function, heart failure, hypertension, or other serious conditions should not take this medication. Those who have had allergic reactions to this medication or have a history of bronchial asthma, or are hypersensitive to drugs similar to aspirin should also avoid taking it. In late pregnancy, this medication should not be used as it may harm the fetus, and patients undergoing cancer treatment should also exercise caution. Do not exceed the recommended dosage, and avoid taking it alongside other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). During breastfeeding, this medication may be passed into breast milk and cause adverse effects in infants; therefore, breastfeeding cessation or discontinuation of the medication should be considered. Patients with a history of blood disorders, liver impairment, kidney impairment, heart disease, hypertension, or hypersensitivity must consult with a specialist before taking this medication. This medication may reduce the cardioprotective effects of low-dose aspirin and increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, so those taking low-dose aspirin should exercise caution. Many drugs may interact with this medication; therefore, if you are currently taking any other medications, it is essential to inform your doctor or pharmacist. If severe allergic reactions, gastrointestinal bleeding, rashes, liver dysfunction, respiratory difficulty, or kidney problems occur while taking the medication, discontinue use immediately and consult healthcare professionals. This medication should be taken for the shortest duration possible at the minimum effective dose, and regular check-ups are required for long-term use. Patients with hypertension should frequently monitor their blood pressure as the medication may worsen hypertension. This medication could cause fluid retention or edema; therefore, caution is necessary for those with heart failure. In case of overdose, immediate medical attention is required, and treatment should be sought promptly, even if no symptoms are present. Keep out of reach of children, and store it in the original container to prevent misuse or deterioration of quality.

Interactions

Drug interactions

This medication should not be taken by patients undergoing high-dose methotrexate therapy in conjunction with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Patients taking low-dose aspirin, ACE inhibitors, lithium, furosemide and thiazide diuretics, low-dose methotrexate, coumarin anticoagulants, and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors should consult their doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

This medication is sensitive to light, so it should be stored in a container that prevents light exposure. Additionally, it should be kept at room temperature, between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius, to safely maintain its effectiveness.
