Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to this medication or its components. Extra caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with chronic active hepatitis or cirrhosis. Side effects such as dry mouth, nausea, and skin rash may occur when taking this medication; these symptoms may subside when taken together with allergy medication. Temporary yellowing of the skin may occur, but this will resolve by discontinuing the medication or taking jaundice treatment medication. Nausea or abdominal bloating may rarely occur but usually goes away quickly. The use of this medication in conjunction with Inosine may result in improved ALT levels, a liver function indicator. Women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding should not use this medication. Elderly patients may have reduced physical functions, so caution should be taken to adjust the dosage accordingly. While the liver function test results are generally stable during the use of this medication, liver enzyme levels may increase upon discontinuation, and improvement will occur upon resuming the medication. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children, and it is crucial to keep it in the original container, as transferring it to another container may degrade the quality or lead to improper dosing.
