This medication helps manage and improve the symptoms of severe hepatic encephalopathy. It effectively supports liver function, stabilizing the patient's condition and alleviating symptoms.
As L-Aspartate-L-Ornithine, mix up to 40 g (8 ampoules) per day into an appropriate infusion solution and administer via slow intravenous infusion. Adjust dosage appropriately according to symptoms.
This medication is provided as an ampoule injection and must be cut very carefully to avoid glass fragments being mixed in. Extra caution is needed when administering it to children or the elderly. This medication should not be administered to patients with certain conditions, such as those with lactic acidosis, methanol poisoning, fructose-sorbitol intolerance, fructose-1,6-diphosphatase deficiency, and severe renal impairment. Additionally, this drug contains potassium pyrosulfite, which may cause allergic reactions or asthma attacks in individuals allergic to sulfites, so it should be administered with caution. In some patients, these allergic reactions could be life-threatening, especially for those with asthma. Neurogenic symptoms such as a feeling of warmth in the occipital region or nausea may occur upon administration, and gastrointestinal discomfort or vomiting may also arise. If administered in high doses, blood and urine urea levels should be monitored to assess the condition.
