Precautions

This medication should not be used on areas with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals. Additionally, patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients should avoid using it. It is advisable not to use this medication on patients with otitis externa who have a perforated eardrum or on those with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite as skin healing may be delayed. It is also considered safe not to use this medication for patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea. Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to aminoglycoside antibiotics should exercise caution and should avoid application near the eyes or wounds around the eyes and breasts. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, breastfeeding women, and children or minors should use this medication cautiously. This medication contains propylene glycol, so individuals allergic to it should exercise particular caution. Skin infections may develop, and side effects like skin irritation, rash, itching, and skin dryness may occur, so if these symptoms appear, discontinue use and consult a specialist. Long-term use may lead to skin changes such as steroid acne, skin atrophy, and telangiectasia, so dosage should be adjusted accordingly. Using large amounts or for extended periods on broad areas may result in systemic steroid side effects, necessitating regular monitoring. Caution should be exercised when applying around the eyes due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma, and if symptoms like blurred vision occur, an ophthalmologist should be consulted immediately. The risk of resistant bacteria developing increases with prolonged use, so care should be taken, and if sensitization symptoms like itching, redness, and swelling occur, use should be stopped. The prescribed usage and dosage must be strictly adhered to, and when used in children, supervision by a guardian is necessary. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should carefully consider the risks and benefits of using this medication, especially avoiding application to the breast area during breastfeeding. Take care to avoid contact with makeup or after shaving, and the occlusive dressing method should be used strictly according to a doctor's instructions. Keep out of reach of children, and patients with psoriasis should be careful as long-term or large-scale use may worsen skin symptoms.
