In children, it is effective in controlling symptoms of habitual vomiting or non-infectious intestinal pain and disorders, namely constipation and diarrhea. How to take

Adult dose

As trimebutine maleate, orally administer 100-200mg three times a day before meals. Adjust as necessary based on age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication can affect the digestive system and may rarely cause symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, digestive disorders, dry mouth, and oral numbness. Additionally, symptoms such as rapid heartbeat may occur rarely, so caution is advised. It can also affect the central nervous system and may rarely cause fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headache. Since it may affect liver function, caution is needed as there is a possibility of elevated liver enzyme levels. Allergic reactions such as skin rashes may occur, so if these symptoms appear, use should be stopped immediately. The safety of this medication during pregnancy is not well established, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks.
