This medication is effective for various joint-related diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis, as well as for relieving fever and pain caused by colds, back pain, dysmenorrhea, and postoperative pain. It is also widely used for ankylosing spondylitis, headaches, dental pain, muscle pain, neuralgia, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis, soft tissue injuries, and non-articular rheumatic diseases. The suppository form aids in relieving fever due to acute upper respiratory infection in children. Thus, this medication is used to relieve various pains and inflammation and improve symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injury, non-articular rheumatic diseases, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis: Administer 200-600mg of ibuprofen orally 3-4 times a day. A maximum daily dose of 3200mg can be administered. Mild to moderate pain, colds: Administer 200-400mg orally 3-4 times a day. Adjust dosage as appropriate based on age and symptoms.

In the late stages of pregnancy, this medication may pose risks to the fetus, so it should be avoided; also, patients receiving high-dose methotrexate during cancer treatment should refrain from taking it. It is crucial not to exceed the recommended dose and to avoid taking it with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs to ensure safety. During breastfeeding, this medication may be transmitted through breast milk and cause serious side effects in infants, so breastfeeding should be discontinued or medication intake should be paused. Individuals with blood disorders, bleeding tendencies, liver or kidney dysfunction, heart disease, hypertension, hypersensitivity, autoimmune diseases, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, elderly patients, pregnant women, and nursing mothers must consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. This medication may interact with aspirin, reducing its cardiac protective effects or increasing the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, thus caution is needed.
