This medication is used as an adjunct therapy for skin conditions such as eczema and acne. It also helps improve problems in areas of keratin where nails, toenails, and hair easily split. It can be understood as a medication that helps manage skin conditions more healthily.

How to take

Adult dose

As L-Cystine, take 1,000 to 2,000 mg once daily for 10 to 20 days within a month.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with significantly reduced kidney function or in hepatic coma. It is also safe for children under the age of 6 not to take this medication. Individuals with a specific kidney disease called cystinuria should not use this medication. Those with allergies or a history of hypersensitivity to soybean oil, beans, or peanuts should avoid this medication. If you have an allergy to this medication or its ingredients, have kidney stones, or have abnormalities in fat metabolism, you must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Particularly, this medication contains a dye called Tartrazine, so those allergic to this substance should exercise caution. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for about a month, you should stop taking it immediately and consult a specialist. During use, side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, dry mouth, and mild abdominal pain may occur, so you should inform a specialist if these symptoms arise. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly adhered to, and when children are taking the medication, a guardian must ensure proper supervision. Patients at risk of fat overload should regularly test their blood fat levels and adjust the medication dosage as needed. When other fat injectables are used together, the administered amount should be adjusted considering the fat content.
