Steroid-responsive scalp conditions include psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis. These conditions can cause inflammation and itching on the scalp, and steroid preparations help to alleviate this inflammation and improve symptoms. They are primarily used for chronic inflammatory scalp diseases such as psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis to stabilize the skin condition and relieve symptoms. Therefore, steroid preparations are effectively used for treating steroid-responsive scalp conditions.

Precautions
This medication should not be used on open wounds or mucosal areas. It should not be administered to patients with infectious skin diseases such as cutaneous tuberculosis, herpes simplex, varicella, herpes zoster, vaccinia, or syphilis. Patients who have previously shown an allergic reaction to this medication should not use it. Patients with eczematous otitis externa who have a perforation in the tympanic membrane should be cautious when using this medication as it may delay wound healing and increase the risk of infection. It is advisable not to use this medication in patients with ulcers or severe burns and frostbite, as it may interfere with skin regeneration and delay healing. In cases of bacterial, fungal, viral infections, or animal skin diseases, using this medication may worsen the symptoms, so it should be avoided. It is safe not to use this medication in infants under the age of one. Patients with a history of heart disease should be cautious when using this medication as it may trigger heart problems. This medication contains an ingredient called propylene glycol, so patients allergic to this ingredient should take care. While using this medication, skin conditions can develop; thus, monitoring the skin condition is essential. Prolonged use or extensive application can result in side effects such as acne, skin atrophy, and vascular dilation. If skin irritation or allergic symptoms such as rashes occur, usage should be immediately stopped. Excessive use or the use of occlusive dressings may suppress the body's hormonal function, so care should be taken. When used around the eyes, caution is needed as it may cause increased intraocular pressure or eye diseases like glaucoma. This medication is generally not used for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections; however, if it must be used, infection treatment should be prioritized or addressed concurrently. Avoid using this medication for extended periods, and use it only for the necessary areas for the shortest time possible. Take care to avoid contact with the eyes, and it is advisable not to use this medication near flames. After use, allow the scalp to air dry naturally. Particularly, children or infants should avoid prolonged use without occlusive dressings as it poses a risk of adrenal function suppression. When using on psoriasis patients, caution is warranted due to the risk of relapse, resistance, and skin damage. It is desirable to discontinue use as soon as symptoms improve. If blurriness or visual impairment occurs, it is advisable to see an ophthalmologist promptly. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should avoid excessive or prolonged usage and stop breastfeeding if used extensively. Premature infants, newborns, and children may experience growth retardation with excessive or prolonged use or when occlusive dressings are applied, so caution is necessary. Elderly individuals have a higher risk of side effects, so their conditions should be closely monitored. Overdose may lead to adrenal dysfunction. Should any of these symptoms occur, immediately discontinue use. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes, and it is best not to use it for purposes other than treatment after cosmetics or shaving.
