Improves digestive dysfunction related to aerophagia and bloating, gas elimination
This medication is used for digestive dysfunction caused by aerophagia and bloating, such as bloating dyspepsia, functional gastrointestinal disorders, and irritable bowel syndrome. It also helps eliminate gas in the intestines during X-ray examinations and is effective for treating digestive dysfunction associated with post-operative bloating. Overall, it is used to reduce abdominal discomfort and excessive gas and to improve digestive function.
Take 1 capsule 3 times a day before meals. For X-ray examinations to eliminate intestinal gas, take 1 capsule 2 hours before the examination.
This medication should not be administered to patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, obstruction, or perforation. It should also not be used in patients with tardive dyskinesia who are taking muscle relaxants. Caution is advised when administering this medication to the elderly. This medication contains the pigment Yellow No. 5, and patients allergic or sensitive to this substance should be careful. During the use of this medication, neurological symptoms such as drowsiness, anxiety, insomnia, numbness of the lips or tongue, and numbness of the hands and feet may occur, and if these symptoms appear, use should be discontinued immediately. Additionally, abnormal symptoms such as muscle stiffness around the mouth or neck may rarely occur, requiring attention. In the digestive system, symptoms such as constipation, nausea, dry mouth, decreased appetite, hunger, and diarrhea may occur. Skin rash, itching, and hives may rarely occur, and if such symptoms appear, use should be stopped. Endocrine symptoms, such as increased milk secretion, menstrual irregularities, gynecomastia, and erectile dysfunction may rarely appear. Liver function test levels may rise, necessitating regular testing. Blood-related issues like methemoglobinemia may occur, requiring caution. During the use of this medication, feelings of lethargy or fatigue, and rarely light sensitivity may occur. Patients taking this medication should avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. Since it may mask vomiting symptoms, particularly careful observation is necessary in cases where intestinal obstruction or cerebral edema is suspected. This medication may enhance the effects when taken with other neurological drugs and may decrease the effectiveness of digoxin or cimetidine. Additionally, when taken with anticholinergic drugs or narcotic analgesics, the drug's effectiveness may be reduced in the gastrointestinal tract. Caution is needed when taken with alcohol, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, or narcotics, as drowsiness or sedation may be intensified. The safety of this medication in children has not been established, so it should be used cautiously in pediatric patients. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should only use the medication if the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks. Breastfeeding women should avoid breastfeeding while taking this medication, as it may be transmitted through breast milk. In case of overdose, symptoms like drowsiness, loss of spatial orientation, muscle rigidity may occur, and immediate gastric lavage and proper treatment should be provided. At this time, antiparkinsonian drugs, anticholinergics, and antihistamines may be used to alleviate symptoms.
