Pain relief for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease)
Oral medications are used to treat degenerative joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis. They are also effective for relieving fever and pain caused by colds, back pain, dysmenorrhea, and postoperative pain. Additionally, they are utilized for ankylosing spondylitis, headaches, dental pain, muscle pain, neuralgia, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis, soft tissue injuries (sprains, contusions), and non-articular rheumatic diseases (tendinitis, tenosynovitis, bursitis). Suppository forms are mainly used to relieve fever from acute upper respiratory tract infections in children. This medication improves a variety of pain and inflammatory conditions.
Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, non-articular rheumatic diseases, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis: Administer 200-600mg of ibuprofen per dose 3-4 times daily, with a maximum daily dose of 3200mg. Mild to moderate pain, colds: Administer 200-400mg per dose 3-4 times daily. Adjust according to age and symptoms.
Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis: Administer 30-40mg per kg of body weight divided into 3-4 doses daily. Children's single dose: - Ages 11-14: 200-250mg (10-13ml) - Ages 7-10:
This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if the individual consumes more than three glasses of alcohol daily, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication may elevate the risk of cardiovascular events; thus, caution is needed for individuals with risk factors for heart disease or hypertension. If cardiovascular symptoms arise during use, consult healthcare professionals immediately. This medication can lead to serious gastrointestinal issues like bleeding, ulcers, or perforations, especially in older individuals or those on long-term therapy; therefore, caution is paramount. Persons with a history of gastrointestinal disorders or severe liver, kidney, or heart diseases should not take this medication. Individuals with allergies to any of the ingredients or a history of asthma should also avoid using this medication. Women in late pregnancy should not take this medication as it may harm the fetus. While taking this medication, do not exceed the recommended dosage, and avoid using it in conjunction with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for safety reasons. Breastfeeding women should consult a doctor, as this drug may pass into breast milk and potentially affect the infant. Patients with blood disorders or liver or kidney issues must consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. This medication may interact with certain drugs; thus, individuals taking other medications should notify and consult their healthcare provider. If severe allergic reactions, skin rashes, breathing difficulties, severe abdominal pain, or bleeding occur while taking this medication, stop use immediately and seek medical advice. It is advisable to take this medication for the shortest duration at the minimum effective dose, with regular monitoring for those on prolonged use. In cases of overdose, seek medical attention even if no symptoms are present. Store this medication out of reach of children and in its original container.
