Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections as it may worsen symptoms. It should not be used by individuals with an allergy or hypersensitivity history to this medication or its ingredients. Patients with perforated eardrums and allergic otitis externa should not use this medication due to the risk of delayed wound healing and increased infection risk. It is advisable not to use it in patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite as skin regeneration may be inhibited, delaying healing. Patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea should also avoid using this medication. Use with caution in pregnant or potentially pregnant women, nursing mothers, children, and the elderly, considering the possibility of side effects. Various skin abnormal reactions such as infections, irritation, dryness, rash, itching, and pain may occur, and if these symptoms become severe, discontinuation of the medication is recommended. Long-term use may lead to serious skin side effects such as steroid-induced acne, skin atrophy, telangiectasia, and skin pigmentation changes, hence caution is required. Regular evaluation is necessary as extensive or prolonged use may suppress pituitary and adrenal function, leading to systemic side effects. Care should be taken when applying around the eyes as it may increase intraocular pressure, risking glaucoma and cataracts. Principally, this medication should not be used for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, but if absolutely necessary, it must be used with appropriate antimicrobial or antifungal agents. It is advisable to discontinue medication use as soon as symptoms improve. Pregnant women or nursing mothers should avoid using this medication in large doses or for long periods as its safety has not been established, only to be used when the therapeutic benefit outweighs the risk. Children are at a higher risk of side effects due to a larger skin surface area relative to body weight, so special caution is needed, and practices like diaper occlusion should be avoided. The elderly may experience more side effects due to decreased physiological function, thus careful monitoring is required. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes and should not be used for treatment after makeup or shaving. Sealing therapy should only be performed under the supervision of a physician, and to reduce the risk of infection, the affected area should be cleansed before application. Store out of the reach of children to prevent safety accidents.
