Precautions

Caution should be exercised as this medication may cause seizures if used in excess of the recommended dose. It should be used only when absolutely necessary in patients with a risk of epilepsy or seizures. Prolonged use may lead to psychological and physical dependence, and patients with a history of drug abuse or dependence should be used with strict management for a short duration. Taking this medication with alcohol or central nervous system depressants can cause severe sedation, respiratory depression, coma, or even death, so it should be taken very cautiously in combination. Individuals who metabolize drugs rapidly due to genetic factors may experience increased effects leading to a higher risk of respiratory depression and should consult a physician. It is not safe to use in children under 12 years of age or adolescents under 18 years of age who have undergone tonsillectomy. In the case of injections, care should be taken when handling the container as glass fragments may be mixed in, especially with children or elderly individuals. It should not be administered to patients with acute alcohol intoxication, central nervous system drug intoxication, severe respiratory depression, head injury, those taking MAO inhibitors, patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or certain allergy patients. Patients taking morphine or those with a sensitivity to opiates, those with a history of seizures, or those with a history of drug abuse or mental illness should use this medication cautiously. This medication may cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, etc., so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery after use. Long-term use may lead to tolerance, requiring an increase in dosage, and sudden discontinuation may cause withdrawal symptoms, so the dosage should be tapered off gradually. There are many interactions with other drugs, which may enhance central nervous system depressant effects or increase the risk of seizures, so it should only be taken after consulting a doctor. It is safest for pregnant or breastfeeding women to avoid using this medication, as serious side effects may occur in the baby during breastfeeding. In case of overdose, severe respiratory depression and seizures may occur, requiring immediate emergency treatment, with naloxone used as an antidote. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in the original container to prevent misuse or degradation of quality.
