This medication should not be taken by individuals allergic to certain ingredients. In cases of severe biliary obstruction, this medication may worsen symptoms, so it should not be taken. It should also be avoided by patients with acute hepatitis, as it can exacerbate symptoms. Do not take this medication if gallstones are calcified and not visible on radiography. Patients without gallbladder function or those with acute cholecystitis should not use this medication either. It is safest for pregnant or potentially pregnant women and nursing mothers to avoid using this medication. Children and patients with kidney disease should refrain from taking this medication. Patients with acute gastric or duodenal ulcers should exercise caution, as this medication may irritate the gastric mucosa and worsen symptoms. Patients with inflammatory bowel conditions, such as Crohn's disease, should also avoid this medication. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should avoid taking it. During the use of this medication, it should not be taken with certain diabetes medications, as there is a risk of increased drug action. Additionally, taking it with antacids or certain lipid-lowering medications or drugs that may harm the liver may reduce the effectiveness of this medication or cause side effects. Patients with severe pancreatic diseases or those with gallstones in the bile duct must consult a physician before taking this medication. If hepatic coma, ascites, or conditions requiring liver transplantation are present, consultation with an expert is necessary before use. If gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain occur while taking this medication, immediately stop taking it and consult an expert. If skin itching or rash occurs as an allergic reaction, discontinue use and inform your healthcare provider. If symptoms of interstitial pneumonia develop, immediately discontinue use and seek medical attention. Consult an expert if liver function tests worsen or if there is a decrease in white blood cell count. Patients with cirrhosis should be particularly cautious, as symptoms may worsen with this medication. Regular liver function tests should be conducted while on treatment to safely use the medication. Although serious side effects from overdose are rare, liver function tests should be performed if necessary. Elderly individuals generally have reduced bodily functions, so dose adjustments or caution may be needed. Dissolution therapy for gallstones usually takes 6 months to 2 years, so treatment should be discontinued if ineffective. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of the reach of children, and kept in its original container to maintain quality.
Interstitial pneumonia (fever, cough, difficulty breathing), liver abnormalities due to elevated serum bilirubin levels (jaundice), severe allergic reactions (itching, rash, erythema due to hypersensitivity)
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to protect it from air and moisture. It is best to maintain a storage temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius at room temperature. This will help maintain the medication's effectiveness over time.
