Nimesulide is primarily used for acute pain such as post-surgical pain, toothaches, headaches, and back pain. It may also help in the treatment of osteoarthritis. This medication is not indicated for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea and should be prescribed after a thorough evaluation of the patient's individual risk, especially as a second-line treatment option. Generally, it exhibits good tolerance at the prescribed doses, but gastrointestinal side effects or liver function abnormalities may occur occasionally; therefore, caution is advised. Nimesulide works effectively for these acute pains and osteoarthritis, improving the patient's pain.
