Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to imidazole derivatives or any components of this drug, or have experienced hypersensitivity. Additionally, individuals allergic to cetostearyl alcohol should not use this medication. Allergic reactions such as angioedema, anaphylaxis, hypotension, respiratory distress, skin rashes, or itching may occur while using this medication, so if any adverse symptoms arise, use should be stopped immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. If skin irritation or worsening of symptoms occurs during treatment, discontinue use and seek appropriate measures. Stopping treatment prematurely because symptoms have improved may result in incomplete eradication of the fungal infection and recurrence of the condition; therefore, it is important to use it steadily for the prescribed duration. When using the medication, the prescribed dosage should be followed, and if a dose is missed, do not apply more than the recommended amount at the next application. Towels, clothing, or socks that come into contact with the affected area should be changed daily to prevent the spread of infection. Before using the medication, the affected area should be washed thoroughly and completely dried, especially between the toes. If there is no response to this medication, tests should be conducted to check for other infections and alternative treatments may be implemented. While using this medication, avoid occlusive dressings or packaging methods, and avoid using acidic soaps as they may promote the growth of Candida. If treating the genital area, caution should be taken as it might temporarily reduce the effectiveness of latex condoms or intravaginal devices. The cetostearyl alcohol component may cause localized reactions such as contact dermatitis. The influence on driving or machinery operation is not known. This medication may exhibit reduced effectiveness when used with other topical antifungal agents; therefore, co-administration is not recommended. It can be used during pregnancy, but must be used under a doctor's guidance, and is also usable during breastfeeding; however, it should be washed off before nursing if applied to the nipple area. It should not be used in children under 2 years of age without a doctor's supervision. There are no reported cases of serious toxicity from overdose, but caution should be taken to avoid ingestion. This medication is for topical use only and should not be applied to the eyes or mucous membranes, nor should it be used on severely wounded areas. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer to another container for safety and to maintain the quality of the medication.
