- Improvement of hypoproteinemia and malnutrition
- Who uses it
- Adults · Children
- Adult dosage
- Administer intravenously as a drip at a maximum dose of 1 to 1.5 g of total amino acids per kg of body weight per day. The infusion rate should be such that a concentration of about 10 g of total amino acids is achieved over 60 minutes, ideally administering 30–40 drops per minute.

Amino acids play an important role in conditions such as hypoproteinemia, malnutrition, and pre- and post-surgery. In these situations, the body is prone to protein deficiency or loss, and the supply of amino acids can help replenish insufficient protein and improve nutritional status. Especially after surgery, amino acid supply is essential as it assists in protein synthesis which is necessary for tissue recovery and wound healing. Furthermore, in malnourished states, it enhances overall physical strength and immune function to support rapid recovery. Therefore, amino acids are used in cases of hypoproteinemia, malnutrition, and pre- and post-surgery.
Dosage and Administration
Adult dosage
Administer intravenously as a drip at a maximum dose of 1 to 1.5 g of total amino acids per kg of body weight per day. The infusion rate should be such that a concentration of about 10 g of total amino acids is achieved over 60 minutes, ideally administering 30–40 drops per minute.

Precautions
This medication should only be used as directed by a physician. It should not be used in patients with hepatic coma or at risk of hepatic coma. Patients with severe renal dysfunction or high blood nitrogen levels should not use this medication. Caution should be taken in patients with problems in nitrogen metabolism, severe heart failure, or pulmonary edema. Patients with almost no urine output or complete absence of urine, severe heart block, or myasthenia gravis should also avoid use. This medication is contraindicated in patients with renal failure who do not undergo dialysis or blood filtration, as well as in newborns. In patients with certain conditions such as high altitude sickness, congestive heart failure, edema due to sodium retention, or hyperkalemia, careful administration is required. This product contains sodium bisulfite, which can cause allergic reactions, particularly in asthmatic patients, so caution is needed. Skin rashes may occur due to hypersensitivity, and in such cases, administration should be discontinued immediately. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and vomiting may also occur. Cardiac symptoms may include chest discomfort, palpitations, rapid pulse, and elevated blood pressure. Rapid administration of large doses can lead to acidosis. Symptoms such as warmth, vascular pain, chills, fever, headache, respiratory distress, shock, bronchospasm, and urinary tract spasms have also been reported occasionally. Peripheral vascular dilation may occur. Various metabolic abnormalities can occur, including metabolic acidosis, hypophosphatemia, alkalosis, hyperglycemia, diabetes, dehydration, and electrolyte imbalances. In patients with poor liver or kidney function, specific values in the blood may increase, necessitating caution. Special attention to electrolyte balance is required during large doses, and overdosage may lead to metabolic alkalosis. In patients with kidney disease, lung disease, or severe heart disease, fluid overload should be avoided with careful administration. Diabetic patients should check their blood sugar levels frequently while using this medication. Some antibiotics may reduce the effectiveness of this medication, and if magnesium is included, problems may arise when used with calcium. Safety during pregnancy has not been established, so it should only be used when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks. It is better to use amino acid preparations specially formulated for neonates and children. Elderly patients have decreased bodily functions, so the infusion rate should be slowed down, and the dosage should be adjusted. This medication contains electrolytes, so electrolyte balance should be monitored during large doses, and infusion rates should be slow. In cold seasons, it is recommended to warm the medication to body temperature prior to use. Aseptic conditions should be maintained during administration to reduce the risk of infection, and the solution should not be used if it is cloudy or discolored. During storage, do not open the packaging, and if there is any abnormality, do not use it. Patients with a history of myocardial infarction or current myocardial infarction should not use this medication.
