Adult eye dose

Instill 1 drop 1 to 3 times a day.

This medication is an eye drop solution containing potassium iodide and sodium iodide, intended for use in the eyes. First, this medication should not be used by certain patients. For example, individuals who are allergic to this medication should not take it, and those with thyroid dysfunction should also refrain from using this medication. Additionally, this medication should not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding women and children. While using this medication, some side effects may occur. After applying the drops, you might experience a brief hot sensation or burning feeling, and there may be an increased tear production compared to usual. Systemic side effects may include excessive stimulation of thyroid function due to the iodine component in this medication, and it may worsen acne in individuals who are prone to acne. Those wearing contact lenses should remove the lenses and apply this medication to the eyes, waiting for at least 30 minutes before reinserting the lenses. This medication is strictly for ocular use, so it should not be applied to other areas. Care should be taken to avoid direct contact of the bottle opening with the eyes, and to prevent contamination, it is advisable not to share this medication with others. Also, do not use the medication if it is past its expiration date or more than one month after opening. After instillation, gently pressing the tear duct area for 1-2 minutes with a finger can help reduce systemic absorption. Keep the medication out of reach of children, and close the cap immediately after use. It is advisable to store in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture, and do not transfer the medication to another container. This will help maintain the quality of the medication and prevent misuse.
