Precautions

This medication is a glass ampule injection; therefore, glass shards may enter when breaking the ampule. Thus, great care must be taken to ensure that glass fragments do not mix in when cutting the injection container. Special attention is required when administering to children or the elderly. Patients with hypersensitivity to this drug should not be administered it. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea or dry mouth may rarely occur while using this drug. Additionally, serious skin reactions such as rashes or, in severe cases, Stevens-Johnson syndrome can occur, as well as hives or skin hypersensitivity reactions. Serious allergic reactions such as angioedema, hypotension, and anaphylactic shock may also occur rarely. Mood changes or diplopia (seeing objects as double) have also been reported. This medication has muscle relaxant effects, so it is advisable to avoid using it in conjunction with analgesics such as morphine or its derivatives, as unexpected interactions may occur when these two drugs are used together. It is recommended not to administer this drug to women in the first three months of pregnancy or those who may become pregnant. Although animal studies did not reveal harmful effects on the fetus, it is better to avoid use during pregnancy for safety. It is also inadvisable for nursing women to use this medication, as its safety regarding excretion into breast milk and effects on infants has not yet been established. Mixing this medication with the substance Noramidopyrine in a syringe or vial is chemically inappropriate; therefore, it should be used alone without mixing.
