Precautions

This medication is a gel form containing the active ingredient ketoprofen and is primarily used for alleviating pain and inflammation. Firstly, this medication should not be used by individuals with certain conditions. For example, those who have experienced allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients, or who have hypersensitivity reactions to light, should not use it. Additionally, individuals with a history of asthma attacks known as aspirin-induced asthma, or those allergic to medicines similar to this, should also avoid use. Pregnant women who are more than six months pregnant should not use it, as it may affect the fetus. It is also not recommended for children under the age of 15. Before use, patients with bronchial asthma, those undergoing other treatments, or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a physician or pharmacist. If symptoms of allergy such as hives, difficulty breathing, or facial swelling occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. If initial symptoms of an asthma attack such as wheezing or difficulty breathing appear, discontinue use immediately. If symptoms such as skin redness, rash, itching, blisters, or swelling appear, or if photosensitivity occurs due to exposure to sunlight, discontinue use and consult a professional. If symptoms do not improve after using for more than a week, discontinue use and consult a physician or pharmacist. During and for two weeks after using this medication, protect from UV exposure using clothing, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. This medication is a treatment that helps relieve symptoms but is not a cure for the underlying cause. In cases of skin infection, use antimicrobial or antifungal agents for infection treatment and monitor the condition closely. When using for chronic conditions, consider other treatment methods in addition to drug therapy and carefully observe for adverse reactions. It should not be applied to the eyes or mucous membranes, and caution should be exercised when applying to damaged skin or areas with eczema or rashes as irritation or pain may occur. Do not use on areas with fungal infections like athlete's foot or ringworm, and avoid using occlusive bandaging. Finally, this medication should be stored in a safe place out of the reach of children.
