Therefore, it is effective in relieving discomfort related to gastrointestinal gas.

How to take

Adult dose

1. For endoscopy to remove intestinal gas, adults should take 40-80mg of simethicone orally with about 10mL of water 15-40 minutes before the examination. 2. For abdominal X-ray examination to remove intestinal gas, adults should start taking 40-80mg three times a day after meals or between meals for 3-4 days before the examination. 3. For the improvement of abdominal symptoms due to intestinal gas, adults should take 40-80mg three times a day after meals or at bedtime. Adjust dosage appropriately according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medicine contains sodium pyrosulfite, which may cause allergic reactions. In particular, serious allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis or asthma attacks may occur, so patients with asthma or those sensitive to allergies should take caution. While taking the medicine, symptoms such as occasional loose stools or discomfort in the abdomen, diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, and a feeling of pressure in the abdomen may occur, and appetite may decrease. Headache may also occur rarely, so if symptoms are severe, consult a doctor. Additionally, this medication contains sodium benzoate, which can cause mild irritation to the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes, so caution is needed during use.
