Relief of pain from rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease) and fever suppression effects
This medication is effective for degenerative joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis when taken orally. It is also used to relieve fever and malaise caused by colds, low back pain, dysmenorrhea, and postoperative pain. Additionally, it helps with ankylosing spondylitis, headaches, toothaches, muscle pain, neuralgia, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis, soft tissue damage, and non-articular rheumatic diseases. The suppository form is used for fever caused by acute upper respiratory infections in children and demonstrates a safe antipyretic effect. Overall, this medication is very useful for alleviating various pain, inflammation, and fever symptoms.
For rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue damage, non-articular rheumatic diseases, acute gout, and psoriatic arthritis, administer 200-600mg of ibuprofen orally 3-4 times a day. A maximum of 3200mg can be administered in one day. For mild to moderate pain and colds, administer 200-400mg orally 3-4 times per day, adjusting according to age and symptoms.
For juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, administer 30-40mg per kg of body weight daily, divided into 3-4 doses orally. For children, the single dose should be administered orally 3-4 times daily. For children under 30kg, the daily amount should not exceed
This medication may pose a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks daily, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. Furthermore, individuals with cardiovascular disease or risk factors may be at increased risk of serious cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke when using this medication, so caution is necessary. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation, especially in elderly patients or those on long-term use. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, severe blood disorders, liver dysfunction, kidney dysfunction, heart failure, hypertension, and others should avoid taking this medicine. Individuals allergic to any ingredients in this medication or have a history of bronchial asthma should also refrain from using it. Pregnant women in late pregnancy should avoid using this medication as it may harm the fetus. It is important not to exceed the recommended dosage and to avoid taking it with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. During breastfeeding, this medication may transfer into breast milk and cause adverse reactions in infants, so breastfeeding should be discontinued or medication use paused. Anyone with a history of blood disorders, liver dysfunction, kidney dysfunction, heart disease, high blood pressure, or hypersensitivity should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Particularly, patients taking low-dose aspirin should be cautious as this medication may reduce the effectiveness of aspirin and increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. If symptoms such as shock, severe allergic reactions, gastrointestinal bleeding, skin rash, liver dysfunction, dyspnea, cardiac issues, or renal impairment occur while using this medication, it should be stopped immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. Regular blood tests and liver function tests are required for long-term use, and if any abnormal symptoms occur, the dosage should be reduced or the medication discontinued. This medication should be taken at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration necessary, and children and the elderly, or patients with wasting diseases, should be closely monitored after taking it. In case of overdose, severe side effects such as dizziness, vomiting, liver dysfunction, and kidney failure may occur, so vigilance is needed.
