Precautions

This medication should not be used on open wounds or mucosal areas. If there is a bacterial, fungal, viral infection, or infection caused by animals on the skin, it should be avoided as symptoms may worsen. People who are allergic to this medication or its components, or have had hypersensitivity reactions, should not use it. If there is perforation of the eardrum or eczematous otitis externa, healing may be delayed, so it should not be used. Patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite should avoid use as skin regeneration may be inhibited, delaying healing. For patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea, it is advisable not to use this medication. Patients who are hypersensitive to aminoglycoside antibiotics or bacitracin should not use this medication. Caution is required if there is an allergy to imidazole antibiotics. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should use this medication with caution and avoid using it if possible. In children or minors, it should be used under the supervision of a guardian, especially since the risk of side effects is higher due to greater body surface area relative to weight. This medication contains propylene glycol, and if there is a history of allergy to this ingredient, it should be used with caution. It contains sodium bisulfite, which can cause allergic reactions or asthma attacks, so patients sensitive to sulfites should be cautious. Infections may occur on the skin, so if symptoms arise, stop using immediately and consult a professional. Common skin side effects such as skin irritation, rash, itching, and dryness may occur, and if these symptoms arise, use should be stopped and a doctor or pharmacist consulted. Long-term use may result in steroid side effects such as thinning skin or vascular dilation, so it is necessary to gradually reduce the dosage or change to another medication. Using large amounts or for extensive areas over a long period can suppress pituitary or adrenal function, so caution is warranted. When used around the eyes, there is a risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma, so care is needed, and if symptoms such as blurred vision arise, immediate consultation with an ophthalmologist is required. If resistance to this drug develops, other infections may occur, and in such cases, use should be discontinued. Long-term use may lead to kidney dysfunction or hearing loss, so it is advisable to avoid long-term use. The established dosage and administration must be strictly adhered to, and in children, supervision by a guardian is essential. Topical corticosteroids can be absorbed systemically and cause hormonal imbalances, so regular checks are necessary when used on extensive areas or in sealed dressings. When symptoms improve, it is advisable to discontinue medication as soon as possible. Long-term or excessive use should be avoided, especially sealed dressings should not be used without professional guidance. When using on thin-skinned areas such as the face, genitals, neck, and perineum, the risk of side effects is high, so caution is required. If allergic reactions or sensitization symptoms appear, use should be stopped immediately. This medication should not be used during pregnancy due to the risk of congenital malformations, and caution is needed during breastfeeding as the medication can be transmitted through breast milk. Children are more sensitive to side effects, so it must be used with particular caution. Care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes, and if it gets into the eyes, it should be washed out immediately with clean water, and if necessary, an ophthalmological examination should be obtained. This medication should not be used for purposes other than treatment, such as after makeup or shaving, and sealed dressings must be used strictly according to a doctor's instructions. Keep out of reach of children and be cautious as prolonged large use by psoriasis patients may worsen skin symptoms.
