Precautions

This medication comes in a glass ampule injection form, and care should be taken when cutting to prevent glass particles from entering. Extra caution is required when used in children or the elderly. This medication should not be administered to certain patients. It can be dangerous for patients with lactic acidosis, methanol poisoning, fructose-sorbitol intolerance, fructose-1,6-diphosphatase deficiency, and severe renal failure. Additionally, this medication contains sodium pyrosulfite, which can cause allergic reactions or asthma attacks in individuals allergic to sulfites, so it should be used with caution. When using this medication, side effects such as a hot feeling in the back of the head, nausea, gastrointestinal discomfort, and vomiting may occasionally occur. In the case of high-dose administration, blood or urine urea levels should be monitored, and infusion rates should be adjusted to reduce discomfort or vomiting in patients with poor liver function. This medication should be administered slowly by intravenous injection, as rapid administration can be dangerous.
