How to take

Adult dose

Hypertension: The initial dose is 50 mg once daily orally, either alone or in combination with diuretics. If no effect is observed within 1-2 weeks, the dose can be increased to 100 mg once daily. Do not exceed 100 mg per day. Angina: Administer 100 mg once or twice daily, not to exceed 100 mg per day. Patients with renal impairment: For a creatinine clearance of 15-35 ml/min/1.73 m², the dose is 50 mg once daily, 15 or less.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with allergies to the active ingredients or additives in this medication. This medication should not be administered to patients with bradycardia or severe cardiac conduction disorders. Patients with severe asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease need to be cautious as this medication may worsen breathing difficulties. Patients with diabetic ketoacidosis or metabolic acidosis should avoid this medication as it can worsen their condition. Patients suffering from cardiogenic shock, right heart failure due to pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure, severe hypotension, or peripheral circulation disorders are not suitable candidates for this medication. It is also not safe for patients with hyperthyroidism or untreated pheochromocytoma to use this medication. Patients at risk of bronchial asthma or bronchospasm should be carefully observed when using this medication in conjunction with bronchodilators. Patients who may experience congestive heart failure should be closely monitored for cardiac function while taking this medication. Diabetic patients or those who may exhibit hypoglycemic symptoms should monitor for signs of hypoglycemia and check blood sugar levels regularly. Patients with severely impaired liver or kidney function may have difficulty excreting this medication, requiring dosage adjustments. For the elderly, it is safer to start with a low dose and administer while carefully monitoring their condition. This medication requires regular checks on cardiac function, blood pressure, and pulse during long-term use, and dosage can be reduced or discontinued if side effects occur. Abrupt discontinuation of the medication may exacerbate heart disease symptoms, so the dosage should be gradually reduced under medical supervision. Patients scheduled for surgery should discontinue this medication 24 hours before the procedure and inform the anesthesiologist of its use. Dizziness may occur upon initial use of this medication, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. This medication can interact with several other drugs, so patients must inform their healthcare providers of any other medications they are taking. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should make careful decisions regarding the use of this medication, considering its effects on the fetus, and nursing mothers should avoid taking it if possible or discontinue breastfeeding. Safety in pediatric patients has not been fully established, so caution is warranted when administering it to children. In case of overdose, symptoms such as bradycardia, hypotension, and breathing difficulties may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought, with appropriate emergency measures taken if necessary.
