This medication is effective for joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis, as well as for fever and pain due to the common cold, low back pain, dysmenorrhea, and post-surgical pain relief. It is also used for various pain and inflammatory conditions, including ankylosing spondylitis, headache, toothache, muscle pain, neuralgia, and acute gout. Additionally, it is helpful in treating soft tissue injuries such as sprains or contusions, psoriatic arthritis, and non-joint rheumatic diseases like tendinitis, tenosynovitis, and bursitis. Thus, this medication is used to alleviate symptoms of various pain and inflammatory diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injury, non-joint rheumatic diseases, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis: 200-600 mg per dose, orally 3-4 times a day. This medication should be consulted with a doctor or pharmacist before use by individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol a day, as it may increase the risk of gastric bleeding. This medication can increase the risk of serious cardiovascular problems such as myocardial infarction or stroke in individuals with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors, and in those who use it for an extended period. Therefore, such patients should carefully monitor for adverse symptoms and be prepared to take immediate action if issues arise. This medication can lead to severe issues such as gastric bleeding, ulceration, or perforation, so elderly patients or those on prolonged use should exercise increased caution. If any adverse symptoms occur during use, consultation with medical personnel is necessary, and other treatment options should be considered in cases with a high risk of gastrointestinal disease. Individuals with a history of gastric ulcers or bleeding, severe blood, liver, kidney, or heart diseases, or severe hypertension should not use this medication. Those with allergies to any components of this medication or a history of bronchial asthma should also avoid it. Pregnant women in the later stages of pregnancy should not use this medication, as it may pose risks to the fetus. Individuals receiving high-dose methotrexate during cancer treatment should also refrain from using this medication. Do not exceed the recommended dosage of this medication, and avoid using it in conjunction with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Nursing mothers should either discontinue breastfeeding or stop taking the medication, as it may be passed to the infant through breast milk and cause side effects. Individuals with blood abnormalities, liver or kidney function issues, heart diseases, hypertension, or a history of allergies must consult with a doctor or pharmacist before use. In particular, those taking low-dose aspirin should be cautious, as this medication may reduce the effects of aspirin and increase the risk of gastric bleeding. Caution is advised when using this medication with drugs such as ACE inhibitors, lithium, diuretics, methotrexate, anticoagulants, and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Individuals with an allergy to the dye components in this medication should also exercise caution. If serious side effects occur during use, such as sudden allergic reactions, skin rashes, breathing difficulties, severe gastric bleeding symptoms, liver function abnormalities, kidney function abnormalities, or blood abnormalities, discontinue the medication immediately and consult medical personnel. It is advisable to use this medication at the minimum dosage and for the shortest duration possible, and regular blood tests and liver function tests should be conducted during prolonged use.
