Prevention of bacterial and fungal infections and treatment of allergic contact dermatitis, etc.
This medication is used to treat skin diseases responsive to corticosteroids that are caused by or at risk of bacterial or fungal infections. It is also effective for various inflammatory skin conditions such as allergic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, lichen simplex, exfoliative dermatitis, and chronic simplex lichen (neurodermatitis). It helps alleviate inflammation and itching in these conditions and improves skin condition. Therefore, this medication is used to relieve the symptoms of skin diseases and maintain comfortable skin.
Apply a suitable amount gently to the affected area and surrounding skin twice a day, in the morning and evening.
This medication should not be used on wounds or mucosal areas. Additionally, it should be avoided in areas with bacterial, fungal, viral, and animal skin infections as symptoms may worsen. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients should also avoid use. It is advisable not to use it on patients with external otitis who have a perforated tympanic membrane, ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite as skin healing may be delayed. In cases of perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea, using this medication may worsen symptoms. Patients with hypersensitivity to aminoglycoside antibiotics or imidazole antibiotics should use caution with this medication. It should be used with caution in pregnant women or women of childbearing potential, nursing mothers, and children or infants. This medication contains propylene glycol, and caution is required if there is an allergy to this ingredient. Skin infections may occur, and if symptoms such as skin irritation, rash, itching, or dry skin occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Long-term use may lead to steroid-induced skin changes, acne, skin atrophy, etc., so it may be necessary to gradually reduce the dosage or switch to another medication. Using this medication on large areas for long periods or via occlusive dressings may lead to systemic absorption of steroids, resulting in pituitary-adrenal suppression or other endocrine disorders. Caution should be exercised when using it around the eyes due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma; if visual disturbances such as blurred vision occur, immediate ophthalmological consultation is needed. Be sure to follow the prescribed dosage and administration, and it should be administered under parental supervision in children. Discontinue use as soon as symptoms improve, and stop and consult a professional if symptoms worsen or do not improve. It should preferably not be used in pregnant women as it may affect the fetus; if it must be used, it is recommended to apply it only to a small area of skin for a short period. Nursing mothers should use it cautiously as it may be transmitted in breast milk. Children are at higher risk of side effects compared to adults due to their proportionally larger body surface area, and caution is necessary as the occlusive effect of diapers may lead to excessive absorption of the medication. Avoid contact with the eyes, and if it gets into the eyes, wash immediately with clean water, and seek ophthalmological treatment if symptoms are severe. Avoid application to skin after makeup or shaving, and occlusive dressings should only be used as directed by a physician. Keep out of reach of children, and caution should be exercised when used by patients with psoriasis for extended periods or in large amounts, as it may lead to symptoms such as psoriatic erythroderma or pustular psoriasis.
Infections (bacterial, viral infections), increased intraocular pressure, cataracts, visual impairment, local steroid withdrawal syndrome, HPA axis suppression, Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycemia, diabetes, osteoporosis, severe edema, or urination abnormalities (significantly reduced urine output, severe generalized swelling, increased blood pressure), severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis: including itching, redness, swelling, papules, blisters), severe skin adverse reactions (with high fever and...
