Precautions

This drug should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist before use in individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks per day due to the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This drug may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Patients with a history of cardiovascular disease or risk factors should be particularly cautious and closely monitor for cardiovascular symptoms. This drug may increase the risk of serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations. Older adults or patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders should exercise greater caution and seek immediate treatment if signs of gastrointestinal bleeding appear. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers, those allergic to this drug or its ingredients, patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, patients with severe liver, kidney, or heart failure, as well as pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this medication. Patients with slightly impaired liver or kidney function, elderly patients, and those taking diuretics should use this drug with caution and must be regularly monitored. This medication may cause gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and may rarely lead to cardiovascular issues, skin rashes, dizziness, kidney issues, liver function abnormalities, and other side effects. Long-term use requires regular blood tests and assessments of liver and kidney function, and if abnormal symptoms arise, a doctor should be consulted immediately. This medication helps relieve inflammation and pain but is not a curative medication, thus it should be used only at the minimum effective dose and duration necessary. Interactions may occur if taken with other anti-inflammatory drugs or specific medications; therefore, any other medications being taken must be disclosed to a healthcare provider. Pregnant women, especially in late pregnancy or those who might become pregnant, should not take this drug, and caution is also needed for breastfeeding women. This medication is not to be used in children, particularly those under the age of 12. Elderly patients are at a higher risk for side effects from this medication, so careful dosing at the minimal effective amount and monitoring for adverse reactions is required.
