Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients who have acute abdominal diseases, such as appendicitis, intestinal bleeding, or ulcerative colitis. Patients with intestinal obstruction should also avoid this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid this medication as the rhubarb component may cause uterine contractions or increase blood flow to pelvic organs, raising the risk of miscarriage or premature birth. Breastfeeding women should also avoid using this medication, as the ingredients in rhubarb can be passed into breast milk and may cause diarrhea in infants. Patients with weak pulse should avoid this medication. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so patients with genetic problems like lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Elderly individuals with reduced physical function should consult a healthcare professional before using this medication. Patients taking other medications should also consult an expert before using this medication. Those with diarrhea or loose stools should be cautious, as this medication may exacerbate symptoms. Patients with very weak stomachs may experience side effects such as loss of appetite, abdominal pain, or diarrhea and should consult before taking. Patients with severe abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting should also consult an expert before taking this medication. Very weak individuals are at risk for experiencing side effects easily and may have worsening symptoms, so caution is required. If symptoms such as loss of appetite, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or diarrhea occur while taking this medication, stop immediately and consult an expert. If symptoms do not improve after about a week of use, it is necessary to stop taking the medication and consult medical personnel. This medication is an irritant laxative, so taking it for an extended period, especially more than a week, may lead to tolerance development and worsening of constipation. If daily laxatives are needed, the cause of constipation must be identified. The specified dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and the diarrhea-inducing effect of rhubarb may vary by individual, so caution is required. When taking other herbal medicines or natural medicines, ensure that there are no overlapping ingredients, especially be cautious when taking preparations containing rhubarb. This medication should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and must be tightly sealed after use. It is safest to keep it out of reach of children. Additionally, removing the medication from its original container and storing it in another container may pose a risk of misuse and degradation of quality, so it must be stored in its original container.
