To prevent reinfection, it is best to change personal towels and underwear daily and wash them thoroughly in boiling water. Avoid using tampons, vaginal washes, or other vaginal insert products during the course of this medication, and refraining from vaginal intercourse can help prevent infection spread. Take care to avoid contact with the eyes, and do not swallow this medication. If severe symptoms such as high fever, lower abdominal pain, or foul-smelling vaginal discharge occur, consult a physician immediately.
