It is used to treat cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and angina pectoris.

How to take

Adult dose

In cases of overdose, symptoms such as slowed heart rate, hypotension, and breathing difficulties may occur, requiring immediate medical attention.

Precautions

This medicine should not be used by individuals who are allergic to the active ingredient or additives. It is safer not to administer to patients with severe bronchial asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Individuals with diabetic ketoacidosis or metabolic acidosis may be at risk if this medicine is used. Patients with very slow heart rates or heart conduction disorders should avoid administration. This medicine is also not suitable for patients with heart problems due to psychogenic shock or pulmonary hypertension and those with congestive heart failure. It is advisable not to use this medicine in cases of severe hypotension or peripheral circulation disorders. Patients with hyperthyroidism who may develop thyroid toxicity due to this medicine should be cautious. This medicine should not be administered to patients with untreated pheochromocytoma. Patients with bronchial asthma or those prone to bronchospasm should use this medicine cautiously and should consider administering it with a bronchodilator. Patients at risk of congestive heart failure should have their heart condition closely monitored during administration of this medicine. Patients with difficulty controlling diabetes or those who easily show symptoms of hypoglycemia should carefully monitor blood sugar changes. Patients with severely impaired liver or kidney function should also be cautious when using this medicine. For the elderly, it is recommended to start with a low dose and administer it carefully. If taking this medicine for an extended period, heart function should be regularly checked, and dosage should be adjusted if bradycardia or hypotension occurs. Suddenly stopping the medicine may worsen symptoms of heart disease, so dosages should be gradually reduced following a doctor's instructions. Patients scheduled for surgery are recommended to discontinue this medicine 24 hours before surgery and inform the anesthesiologist about the usage.
