Precautions

This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. The ingredients in this medication may cause contractions of the uterus or increase blood flow to the pelvic organs, raising the risk of premature birth. Women who are breastfeeding should also avoid taking this medication. Certain ingredients in the medication may transmit through breast milk and cause diarrhea in the infant, thus breastfeeding should be avoided or stopped while taking the medication. Additionally, those with lactose intolerance or genetic lactose breakdown disorders should refrain from taking this medication due to the lactose it contains. During the use of this medication, other diarrhea medications should not be taken concurrently. Using more than one diarrhea medication together may lead to side effects. Individuals with hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, or edema should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Especially for the elderly, bodily functions may be impaired, requiring careful dosing or a reduction in dosage. For those taking other medications, it is crucial to consult an expert due to potential interactions. Those with diarrhea symptoms or weakened gastrointestinal function should be mindful as symptoms may worsen upon taking this medication. Individuals with loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting should also seek advice before taking the medication. Those who are very weak or sweat excessively after a disease should be cautious as side effects may worsen with this medication. Individuals with a history of allergic reactions (such as rashes or itching) to this medication should avoid it. Diabetics should consult with healthcare providers before taking this medication as its ingredients may raise blood sugar levels. If unusual symptoms such as facial or limb swelling or elevated blood pressure occur during use, the medication should be discontinued immediately and professional consultation sought. If symptoms like muscle weakness, seizures, or paralysis occur, the medication should also be stopped and the healthcare provider informed. If symptoms such as indigestion, vomiting, abdominal pain, or diarrhea become severe, the medication should be stopped, and advice sought. If allergic symptoms such as rashes or itching appear, the medication should be discontinued immediately. Consult with a professional if symptoms like insomnia, excessive sweating, rapid heartbeat, or general weakness develop. If urination difficulties or liver function abnormalities are experienced, medication should be stopped and medical attention sought. If constipation persists for more than a week or symptoms do not improve, stop taking the medication and consult a physician. This medication is generally not recommended for long-term use, and if it is necessary to take it over a longer period, consultation with a professional is a must. Stimulant laxatives should not be used continuously for more than a week as tolerance can develop, worsening constipation. It is important to adhere strictly to the dosage instructions, as effectiveness can vary based on individual responses. When taking other herbal or traditional medicines, ensure there are no overlapping ingredients and be particularly cautious. When combined with ephedra, ephedrine, specific antidepressants, thyroid medications, catecholamines, or xanthine-based drugs, symptoms like insomnia, excessive sweating, or palpitations can occur, necessitating careful dosage adjustments and monitoring. Care should be taken when taking potassium supplements, licorice-containing ingredients, or certain diuretics as there can be a risk of hypokalemia or muscle weakness.
