- 1) Because the active ingredient has a slightly bitter taste, it is best to take the tablet promptly with water without chewing it. If the tablet is divided specifically to adjust the dose, it is best to take it after a meal. When taking several doses a day, ensure that the intervals between doses are neither less than 4 hours nor more than 6 hours. 2) The tablet is oblong and has three score lines so that the dose can be adjusted accurately according to the patient's body weight. Each of the four pieces formed by the score lines contains 150 milligrams of the active ingredient. If one-quarter of a tablet is needed, it can be easily prepared by pressing a score line with the thumbnail, starting from one end of the tablet. (For the 600mg formulation only) The dose should be determined for each individual case as directed by a physician. Depending on the type of parasite being treated, administer 20-40mg per kg of body weight 1 to 3 times daily. 1) Treatment of liver fluke infection: Administer 25mg per kg of body weight per dose 3 times daily for 1 day. 2) Treatment of lung fluke infection: Administer 25mg per kg of body weight per dose 3 times daily for 2 days. 3) Treatment of African schistosomiasis: Administer a single dose of 40mg per kg of body weight, or divide the dose into two administrations of 20mg each.

Precautions
This drug should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this drug or its components. Caution is required when using in patients with impaired kidney function, those with moderate to severe liver function impairment, patients taking digitalis due to heart failure, and those with arrhythmia. During treatment, symptoms like fatigue, headache, dizziness, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, and nausea may occur, so patients should be cautious. Rarely, abnormal heart rhythms, skin itching, or changes in blood test results can occur; any unusual symptoms should be reported to a healthcare professional immediately. In particular, patients with a large number of parasites or those taking higher doses based on their weight may experience side effects more frequently. In areas where cysticercosis is suspected, consultation with a specialist is essential, and caution is needed when driving or operating machinery since this medication can cause drowsiness. Patients with schistosomiasis may experience acute inflammatory responses or severe complications after taking this medication, thus requiring observation in a hospital during treatment. Patients with severely impaired liver function should be carefully monitored for adverse reactions due to potentially delayed drug metabolism.
