How to apply

Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients with skin infections. In particular, symptoms may worsen in cases of bacterial, fungal, viral infections, or skin infections caused by animals. Patients who have hypersensitivity to this drug or have previously experienced allergic reactions should not use it. For patients with external auditory canal inflammation who have a perforated eardrum, use should be avoided as healing may be delayed. It is advisable not to use this medication on ulcerated areas or severe burns, as healing may be hindered due to inhibited skin regeneration. Use is also not recommended for patients with scalp infections, perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea (strawberry nose). This medication should not be applied to areas with anal or genital itching, and should not be administered to infants under 24 months of age. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should use this medication with caution, and long-term or extensive use should be avoided. Infants, children, the elderly, and patients with liver dysfunction or diabetes should also use it cautiously. This medication contains propylene glycol, so it should be used with caution in those allergic to this ingredient. During use, various skin adverse reactions such as skin infections, irritation, rashes, itching, hives may occur; if symptoms develop, discontinue use and consult a physician. Long-term use may lead to side effects such as skin thinning or vascular expansion, so it may be necessary to gradually reduce the dose or switch to another medication. Using this medication extensively or with occlusive dressing for long periods can lead to systemic side effects such as adrenal suppression and hypercortisolism; therefore, short-term use is recommended. When using around the eyes, there is a risk of elevated intraocular pressure, glaucoma, and cataracts, hence care must be taken to prevent direct contact with the eyes. In case of eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, appropriate antibacterial or antifungal treatment should be administered first, or combination therapy should be considered, and if symptoms worsen, use should be immediately discontinued. Using this medication for an extended period or beyond recommended dosages may lead to serious infections or immunosuppression symptoms, so it is advisable to switch to a less potent medication if used for more than 2 weeks. Pregnant women should only use this medication over the smallest area and for the shortest period, as there is an increased risk of low birth weight; nursing mothers should also avoid direct exposure while breastfeeding. Children absorb more of the drug relative to their body surface area and therefore are at a higher risk for side effects, so careful use is necessary, especially not using it on infants under 24 months of age. The elderly are at a higher risk of side effects, so close observation is required with high doses or prolonged use. In the case of overdose, there is a risk of adrenal insufficiency, so gradual reduction or discontinuation should be done under a physician's supervision. This medication is not for ophthalmic use, so take care to avoid contact with the eyes; it should not be used for non-therapeutic purposes. When using occlusive dressing, there is a risk of infection, so always follow medical advice, and wash hands thoroughly after use. Store out of reach of children and in the original container to prevent misuse or quality deterioration.
