Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with certain skin infections. For example, symptoms may worsen in cases of bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections. Additionally, patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to this drug or its ingredients should avoid use. It should also be avoided in patients with perforated eardrums, ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite. It should not be administered to patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, or children under 2 years of age. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, breastfeeding mothers, children, and the elderly should use this medication with caution. Specifically, this medication contains an ingredient called propylene glycol, which requires caution if there is an allergic reaction to this component. Skin infections may occur, and various skin side effects such as folliculitis, skin irritation, rash, itching may arise. Long-term use may lead to more serious side effects, such as thinning of the skin or dilation of blood vessels, so if symptoms occur, use should be discontinued, and a doctor should be consulted. Using this medication over a large area for a long time or using occlusive dressings may affect the body's hormonal system, so regular check-ups are required. Care should be taken when used around the eyes as ocular diseases such as glaucoma or cataracts may develop. In principle, it is not used for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, but if it must be used, appropriate antibacterial or antifungal agents should be used together. This medication is recommended for use for a short period, within 7 days, and should be discontinued as soon as symptoms improve. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are advised to use this medication cautiously as it may affect the fetus or baby, and should be administered under the doctor's judgment. Children have a larger skin surface area relative to their weight, so side effects may occur more easily, and caution is particularly necessary in diaper-wearing areas, which can have effects similar to occlusive dressing. The elderly may experience side effects more readily, so close monitoring is required for mass use or long-term use. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes and should not be used for purposes other than treatment, such as applying it to the skin after makeup or shaving. When using occlusive dressings, it must be done under the supervision of a physician, and proper care of the affected area should be taken to reduce the risk of infection. During storage, keep it out of reach of children and do not damage the container or burn it, especially aerosol formulations should not be used near flames. Lastly, caution is necessary as long-term mass use of this medication in psoriasis patients may worsen skin symptoms.
