This medication is used as an adjunct treatment for liver diseases and biliary tract disorders arising from insufficient bile secretion. It also helps improve liver function impaired by chronic liver diseases. Additionally, it is effective in treating digestive disorders caused by resection of the small intestine and inflammatory bowel diseases. Through the enhancement of liver and digestive functions, it supports the recovery of the patient's health.

How to take

Adult dose

As ursodeoxycholic acid, take 50-100mg at a time, 3 times a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals allergic to certain ingredients. In cases of severe biliary obstruction, this medication may worsen symptoms, so it should be avoided. Acute hepatitis patients or patients with radiolucent calcified gallstones should also not take this medication. It is contraindicated for patients without gallbladder function or with acute cholecystitis, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, and children. Patients with kidney disease or inflammatory bowel diseases such as peptic ulcer or Crohn's disease should use this medication with caution. Additionally, patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should not take this medication. While taking this medication, it should not be taken with oral hypoglycemic agents, certain lipid-lowering medications, specific antacids, or activated charcoal. If symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, itching, rash, etc. occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Regular liver function tests are important during treatment, and elderly patients may require dosage adjustments due to decreased physical function.
