Improvement of inflammatory dermatophyte infections (athlete's foot, ringworm) and allergic skin diseases
This medication is used to treat inflammatory dermatophyte infections such as athlete's foot, ringworm, and tinea capitis, as well as fungal infections like tinea versicolor and cutaneous candidiasis. It is also effective for allergic or inflammatory skin diseases. It works effectively on these conditions to help improve skin status, thus it is widely used for the treatment of skin diseases.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1 to 2 times a day.
This medication should not be used on areas with skin infections caused by bacteria or viruses. Particularly, in patients with infections such as tuberculosis, syphilis, herpes zoster, herpes simplex, or chickenpox, this medication may worsen the infection. Persons with an allergy to the components of this medication or who have experienced hypersensitivity reactions should not use it. In patients with external otitis having a perforated eardrum, the use of this medication may delay wound healing and increase the risk of infection. This medication should not be used on ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite areas as it may impede tissue recovery. It should also be avoided in cases of perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea. It is advisable not to use this medication during the initial stages of skin inflammation. It should not be applied to the skin around the eyes, and care should be taken when applying it near the eyes. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should use this medication cautiously and only under the judgment of a physician when necessary. Particular caution is required when using this medication on children or infants, and it should be used under the supervision of a guardian. This medication contains propylene glycol, so caution is needed for those who have allergic reactions to this component. Prolonged or excessive use over large areas may result in side effects such as skin infections, skin irritation, rashes, itching, pigmentation changes, etc. Long-term use may cause skin dryness, steroid-induced acne, skin atrophy, vasodilation, perioral dermatitis, and other adverse effects. Excessive or prolonged use of this medication may suppress pituitary or adrenal function, and applying it around the eyes can lead to increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma. Particularly, if used extensively under occlusive dressings, there is a risk of cataracts or glaucoma. This medication may affect blood coagulation, so when used with warfarin, blood tests should be conducted to monitor status. It should not be used within the first three months of pregnancy, and during pregnancy, it should only be used restrictively when absolutely necessary. Caution is required during breastfeeding as this medication may be partially transmitted to breast milk. When used for extended periods or under occlusive dressings in children, growth disorders may occur. In the elderly, the minimum effective dose should be used with careful observation considering their liver, kidney, and heart functions. This medication should not be applied directly to the eyes and is not suitable for ophthalmic purposes. After use, store in a place out of reach of children, avoiding direct sunlight, and keep in a cool, dry place. For quality preservation, it is recommended not to transfer it to another container.
