Precautions
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to this drug or its ingredients, or who have hypersensitivity to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts. During pregnancy, it is advisable to avoid high doses as the safety of high-dose use has not been established, and it is not recommended for breastfeeding women as this drug may be transmitted through breast milk. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, those taking contraceptives that contain estrogen, or those at risk for thrombosis should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Individuals with a history of bronchial asthma, skin rashes, or hives, or those taking vitamin A or K, should be cautious as this medication may affect vitamin absorption. Patients taking anticoagulants, obesity medications, or specific laxatives, as well as children taking iron supplements, should consult a professional before use. Individuals with lipid metabolism issues, such as hyperlipidemia, diabetic dyslipidemia, or pancreatitis, should use this medication with caution, and those with hypersensitivity to certain dyes contained in this medication should also be careful. If symptoms such as digestive discomfort, diarrhea, constipation, skin rashes, nausea, muscle weakness, fatigue, headaches, or blurred vision occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. If menstrual bleeding becomes abnormally fast or heavy, discontinuation and consultation is also necessary. Care should be taken when young children or underweight infants take this medication in high doses, as this can delay iron absorption or cause vitamin E deficiency anemia. High dose use may result in side effects such as nausea, intestinal cramps, fatigue, headaches, visual disturbances, and reproductive dysfunction, as well as changes in blood lipid and hormone levels; however, these will recover upon discontinuation of the medication. Patients at risk for lipid overload should regularly check their plasma lipid levels and adjust their dosage of this medication accordingly, accounting for the total lipid amount if using other lipid medications.
