This drug is used to treat dermatophyte infections caused by fungi such as tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea capitis, and is also effective against candidiasis and tinea versicolor. Additionally, it is used for skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria. In other words, it is utilized for various skin fungal infections and some bacterial skin infections.

How to apply

Adult use

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1-3 times a day and gently rub it in. Adjust according to symptoms.

Precautions

This drug has antifungal properties as an imidazole derivative and is used for the treatment of fungal infections such as candidiasis that occur on the skin. This drug should not be administered to patients who are hypersensitive to imidazole or this component, or those who have previously experienced allergic reactions. Patients with eczematous dermatitis or a history of allergy to propylene glycol, an ingredient in this drug, should use it with increased caution. Mild local side effects such as skin irritation, burning sensation, itching, redness, erythema, and pain may occur when using this drug, and in rare cases, dermatitis, vesicles, and pustules may develop. If severe irritation or an allergic reaction occurs during treatment, usage should be immediately discontinued and a doctor consulted. If symptoms do not improve despite treatment with this drug, it is important to receive appropriate testing as there may be underlying conditions such as diabetes. When treating candidiasis, the use of alkaline soap should be avoided, and caution should be taken regarding the potential for systemic side effects when applying to large areas, open wounds, or in infants. Care should be taken not to use this drug in excess, and it is advisable not to use methods like occlusive dressings without a physician's direction. The excipients in this drug can reduce the quality of latex products such as condoms, so caution is necessary when using them together. In particular, using this drug with warfarin may increase the risk of bleeding, so when applying to large areas or the genital region, blood tests should be conducted to monitor the condition. The safety of this drug during pregnancy has not been fully established, so it should only be used under a physician’s discretion when absolutely necessary and should be avoided during breastfeeding if possible. Elderly patients may have decreased liver, kidney, and heart function, so treatment should start at a low dose with monitoring of the patient's condition.
