The components of this drug can cause contractions of the uterus or affect pelvic organs, increasing the risk of miscarriage or preterm birth. Breastfeeding women are also advised not to take this medication as some components may be passed into breast milk and cause diarrhea in infants. Additionally, individuals with lactose intolerance or specific genetic digestive disorders should avoid this medication due to the presence of lactose. During the consumption of this medication, it is important not to take other medications that cause diarrhea. Individuals with hypertension, cardiac or renal diseases, and those with edema, especially the elderly, should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. The elderly may require dosage adjustments due to decreased bodily functions. Those currently taking other medications or experiencing diarrhea symptoms, gastrointestinal weakness, poor appetite, nausea, or vomiting should also consult a healthcare professional. Caution is warranted for individuals who are weak, children, and those who have previously experienced allergic reactions to medications. If symptoms such as swelling of the face or extremities or elevated blood pressure occur during the use of this medication, discontinue immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Severe side effects such as muscle weakness or cramps, cough or difficulty breathing, symptoms of liver dysfunction, skin rashes, or digestive disorders require immediate discontinuation of the medication. If symptoms do not improve with long-term use, it is important to consult a healthcare professional. This medication may increase the risk of side effects when taken with potassium or glycyrrhiza-containing medications, hence caution is necessary. Dosage instructions must be strictly followed, and since the effects of the rhubarb component can vary among individuals, extra caution is advised. Stimulant laxatives may develop tolerance and worsen constipation with extended use, so it is advisable not to take them for more than one week. When taking with other herbal medicines, one should check for overlapping ingredients, especially with products containing rhubarb. This medication should not be used for long periods, and if prolonged use is unavoidable, a consultation with a healthcare professional is mandatory. Store it away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place, and ensure it is kept out of reach of children. Transferring the medication from its original container to another may compromise its quality, so it should always be stored in the original container with the lid tightly closed.
