Precautions

Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication. The rhubarb component included in this drug can cause uterine contraction or increase blood circulation to pelvic organs, which may increase the risk of miscarriage or premature birth. Furthermore, it is advisable for nursing women to avoid this medication, as some components in rhubarb can be passed to breast milk and may cause diarrhea in infants. Elderly individuals, who may have decreased bodily functions, must consult a specialist before taking this medication. Consultation is also necessary for those taking other medications or experiencing diarrhea, or if they have a weak stomach. Patients with a lack of appetite, nausea, or vomiting symptoms, as well as those who are very physically weak, should consult a specialist before taking this medication. Individuals with a history of allergic reactions to medications, such as rashes or itching, those taking laxatives, and children should exercise caution. If symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing develop during treatment, the medication should be stopped immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. This also applies to symptoms like abnormal liver function, skin rash, abdominal pain, or diarrhea. If symptoms do not improve after one week of taking the medication, it is important to consult a specialist. This drug must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and administration, and the laxative effect of rhubarb can vary significantly among individuals, so caution is needed. Long-term use of irritant laxatives can lead to drug tolerance, making constipation worse; therefore, it should not be continued for more than one week, and if daily laxatives are needed, the cause should be identified. When taking this medication with other herbal medicines, ensure that there are no overlapping ingredients, especially products containing rhubarb should be used with caution. This medication should be stored in a sealed container, protected from direct sunlight and moisture, and it must be kept out of the reach of children. Lastly, this product contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders should not take it.
