Adult dose

This drug should be administered at the minimum effective dose for the shortest possible duration. 1. Psychiatric disorders Adults: Administer a total of 50㎎ per day orally in 3 divided doses (12.5mg, 12.5mg, 25mg). The maximum dose for adults is 100mg per day. 2. Dermatologic disorders Adults: Administer a total of 30-60㎎ per day orally in 2-3 divided doses. Adjust the dose as appropriate according to age and symptoms. Older adults This drug is not recommended for older adults because drug excretion is reduced and the risk of adverse reactions (anticholinergic effects) is increased compared with adults. However, if treatment is necessary, it is recommended to start with half the recommended adult dose because the drug's effects may be prolonged. The maximum daily dose in older adults is 50mg.

This medication may affect the heart and poses a risk of prolonged QT interval on an ECG. If heart rhythm becomes irregular, the medication should be discontinued immediately and healthcare providers must be informed. It should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this medication or have acute closed-angle glaucoma or certain genetic disorders. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid taking this medication and consult a specialist if necessary. Patients with poor liver or kidney function may need dose adjustments, and caution is advised in those with seizure disorders. This medication may cause drowsiness, dizziness, and dry mouth, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Additionally, taking it with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants may exacerbate side effects, so it is advisable not to combine. This medication can interact with various drugs, so inform healthcare providers if other medications are being taken. In cases of overdose, serious side effects may occur, and immediate emergency treatment is required, with no specific antidote available. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer to another container for safety.
