Middle-aged Lower Blepharoplasty with Fat Repositioning

About This Treatment

In middle-aged patients with reduced skin elasticity, under-eye fat protrusion and sagging skin often occur simultaneously, requiring both under-eye fat repositioning and lifting of the sagging lower-eyelid skin.

When the lower-eyelid fat is bulging, uneven fat is repositioned. When accompanied by sagging skin, the procedure can help restore the shortened lower-eyelid length and midface volume.

For patients who already have natural under-eye fullness, the underlying muscle is preserved to create a more vibrant eye appearance. For those without it, natural under-eye fullness is created to achieve a more youthful overall look.

Septal fixation and lateral canthal fixation help prevent the recurrence of under-eye fat protrusion and sagging skin.
