Post-Procedure Precautions
Please visit the clinic 5-7 days after surgery to have your stitches removed.
Keep the tape (DuoDERM) on the suture area for 5-7 days. You may apply
makeup from the day after surgery while the tape is still attached.
Make sure to keep the tape (DuoDERM) on to prevent
soap or water from getting on the surgical area.
After liposuction, keep the facial compression band on for 24
hours on the day of surgery, and wear it frequently afterward.
Drinking cold water frequently on the day of
surgery helps reduce swelling from medication.
Bruising and swelling may occur after surgery. Bruising usually disappears after about 2
weeks, major swelling subsides after 2-3 days, and minor swelling resolves in about a month.
It will look natural about 3-4 weeks after
surgery, and the effects last at least 6 months.
Avoid strenuous exercise, hot baths, and saunas for 2 weeks, and
absolutely refrain from alcohol and smoking for at least one month.
