Shim Yong-seop Sipjangsaeng Korean Medicine Clinic is a Korean medicine clinic located at 18, Gangnam-daero 89-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul (Exit 5 of Nonhyeon Station on Subway Line 7 and Exit 4 of the Shinbundang Line). Dr. Shim Yong-seop, the clinic’s chief director and a doctor of Korean medicine with more than 50 years of clinical experience, and Director Shim Jae-gwan, a graduate of Kyung Hee University College of Korean Medicine, have been practicing together as the second generation of the clinic and have provided care in Gangnam for 40 years. The clinic’s primary treatment is the trademarked “Duri-bon Therapy.” Viewing the upper cervical spine, spine, pelvis, and temporomandibular joints as a single axis, the treatment manually corrects alignment in coordination with the patient’s breathing. The clinic does not provide potentially painful treatments such as acupuncture, injections, or cupping, and many patients become so relaxed during treatment that they fall asleep. When you hear sounds in your jaw or experience discomfort in the temporomandibular joint, or when facial asymmetry concerns you along with headaches, insomnia, teeth grinding, or neck or lower back discomfort, the clinic assesses not only the face but also the temporomandibular joints and the balance of the entire body. Treatment specialties include facial asymmetry, Korean medicine aesthetic treatments, children’s growth and concentration, and infertility. Each visit lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, including consultation and correction, and visits are scheduled once a week. On-site parking is available.
