This was my first health checkup here, and thanks to the nurse’s kind guidance, I had no trouble going through the examination. First, I spoke with Dr. Im Jaehyun, and then had a urine test, vision test, hearing test, mammogram, chest X-ray, and blood test. After that, I had a carotid ultrasound, upper abdominal ultrasound, and thyroid ultrasound, followed by an upper endoscopy. When I went in for the endoscopy, they first sprayed a numbing medicine into my throat. Then I lay down and they put something like a mouthpiece in my mouth, but my tongue got caught slightly and was nicked a little. Still, the endoscopy was completed without any problems, and I was able to hear the doctor’s findings afterward. I chose to receive the results on my phone, and once they are available, I will visit the hospital again to have them explained to me. All the staff were kind and organized throughout the process, so I had a pleasant experience during the checkup.

If it is your first time having a health checkup or endoscopy, you naturally tend to feel nervous, but I was able to review the necessary information before the examination and proceed from there, which helped me feel a little more at ease. I especially thought it would be convenient when preparing for a checkup because they have medical staff specializing in digestive endoscopy and operate a one-stop system that can perform polyp removal during the same visit when necessary, in addition to the endoscopy itself. I also thought it was a plus that they recently introduced an in-house CT scanner, giving patients more testing options. Overall, I felt it was worth considering not only for Internal Medicine visits for a simple cold or mild symptoms, but also when you want a more thorough examination, such as a gastroscopy or colonoscopy. Above all, the testing items and procedures can differ from one clinic to another, so it would be best to check before making an appointment whether they offer the specific tests you need. If you are looking for a place in Cheonan to get a health checkup or endoscopy, it would be a good idea to compare the location, consultation hours, and available tests before making a decision after speaking with them. Overall, I was able to get my checkup comfortably without any major issues, so I would consider coming back the next time I need a health checkup.

The doctor is kind and explains things well. I had to come in suddenly because I had shingles, but the treatment went well, and since then, I've been going to the nearby Yonsei Internal Medicine for health check-ups, which is great.
