Lately, my nose has been stuffy every morning and I kept sneezing, which was pretty uncomfortable. I also had a runny nose often and felt like mucus was dripping down the back of my throat, so I thought I might have a cold. But it didn’t get better even after a few days, so I went to Seoul Samsung Internal Medicine Clinic. During the appointment, I explained when the symptoms had started and told them what times of day my nasal congestion and sneezing were the worst. After checking my current symptoms, they determined that they were symptoms of rhinitis and explained the treatment options. I took the prescribed medication as instructed and also made an effort to ventilate the house often and keep dust from building up. The nasal congestion, which had been especially bad right after I woke up, gradually started to ease.

I went to the internal medicine department because I suddenly developed a high fever and a severe headache. I had a check-up in Room 1, and since my symptoms were extremely distressing, I chose IV treatment with Peramiflu, which is faster-acting than oral medications. Getting the infusion directly through the vein at the hospital was much more reassuring. The IV drip took about 15 to 30 minutes, and I could definitely feel it absorbing faster than oral meds, quickly suppressing any bad vibes in my body. The pleasant environment allowed me to rest properly during the infusion, which greatly aided my recovery. There was hardly any pain at the injection site, and I highly recommend it. I've come to realize that if you're in pain, it's worth spending a little money and going to the hospital right away.

The downside is that, like many popular places, there can be long wait times, so it’s wise to be mentally prepared for that. They also have a hospital app for scheduling appointments, so if you find it necessary, it might be a good idea to inquire with the hospital and use the app for booking.

Dr. Lee Seung-won in Room 5 is very kind and explains things in detail. Even if I have to wait a long time when I go early on Saturday morning, I come away having heard some good advice.
