Hwang Gyuhyeok Mental Health Clinic

I've been taking medication for a few years now, since I lived at my previous place. My old doctor would wrap up the appointment in 1 to 2 minutes, just giving me a prescription and asking how many hours I sleep, and when I told him, he would just keep increasing the dosage without mentioning the risks of dependency on the medication. Last April, when I moved, I started going to Dr. Hwang Gyu-hyuk at the Psychiatric Clinic, and during my first consultation, the doctor asked a lot of detailed questions. Right from that first appointment, I thought, 'This feels right.' Now, I go in for appointments every two weeks, whereas my previous clinic would prescribe a month's worth of medication at a time. It felt a bit risky to have a whole month's supply, considering my bad thoughts. I've been going to this clinic for 9 months now, and I’m really satisfied. Above all, it feels like the doctor really cares about the patients, which I appreciate.

No matter when I visit, the staff kindly asks me various questions and explains everything from the patient's perspective. They also tell me that I need to continue reducing the medication.

Thanks to the nurses who always greet me warmly and are so welcoming, and the kind, considerate doctor who looks at things from the patient's perspective, I leave the hospital feeling good every time, even though I'm there as a patient. At some hospitals, I've felt that some doctors are so stiff and authoritative that I can't even bring myself to ask what I want to know, but I really like that this place is completely different.

The doctor is kind and gentle, always expressing concern and telling me that I should reduce my medication every time I visit.

This is a hospital I visit for insomnia, and they are friendlier and better than places I've been to in other areas. Some doctors can have a stiff tone and even a bit of an authoritative presence, but the doctors here don’t show any of that.
